Our Mission
Our Church has a God given mission. God didn’t just give His church a mission, He gave His mission a Church.
Our mission at Corpus Christi is to love God, love others, make disciples and welcome all into the Body of Christ.
Loving God: Jesus’ greatest commandment “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37)
Loving Others: Jesus’ second greatest commandment “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39) and Jesus’ new commandment “Love one another as I have loved you.” (John 13:34)
Making Disciples: Jesus’ final command to his apostles before his ascension, often referred to as the great commission “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
Welcoming All into the Body of Christ: “Corpus Christi” translated means “Body of Christ” We therefore strive to welcome everyone into our church. “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” (Romans 15:7) “So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Romans 12:5)
