Children and Youth
"But Jesus said, 'Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’” (Matthew 19:14)
Parents are the first and primary educators of their children’s faith, with the responsibility to teach their children the faith, virtues, and prayer, modeled in their daily lives. The responsibility is shared with the wider Church community.
From toddlers to teens, Corpus Christi’s mission is to provide loving and thoughtful experiences where children and youth meet and deepen their relationship with God and learn to follow in Jesus’s footsteps with the following programs.
Fr. George has established an Interim Faith Formation Team that is actively planning our fall program. Please check back in October for our updated Fall 2026 schedule as we plan the upcoming Faith Formation program for our children and youth.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Designed Just for Kids: Children ages 4 to 11 experience the same Sunday readings, rituals, and prayers as their families, but through a kid-friendly lectionary and a developmentally appropriate homily.
Seamless Part of Mass: Children begin Mass sitting with their families. Before the readings start, our priest will invite children forward, and our volunteer team will guide them to our Daily Mass Chapel.
Rejoining the Family: After experiencing a prayerful environment tailored to them, the children return to the main church assembly to rejoin their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Grades K-5
Centered on Faith and Community: A joyful and welcoming community where children can grow in faith, friendship, and their love for Jesus. Through engaging lessons, prayer, stories, and activities, we help children discover God’s love and build a strong foundation in our Catholic faith. All are welcome as we learn, grow, and journey together.

Grades 6-12
Faith in Action: A welcoming community where young people can grow in faith, friendship, and their relationship with Christ. Through prayer, the sacraments, service, and meaningful conversations, we help middle and high school students discover God’s love and their unique purpose. All are welcome as we journey together in faith and community.

Sacramental Preparation
First Reconciliation
A Journey of Mercy and Grace: This preparation helps children understand God's unconditional love and experience the healing power of His forgiveness in a gentle, welcoming environment.
Encountering Jesus’ Peace: Children learn how to reflect on their choices, appreciate a fresh start, and discover that Jesus is always ready to welcome them with open arms.
First Eucharist
Nourishing a Growing Faith: Children are invited to take a beautiful step closer to Jesus by preparing to receive His true presence in the Eucharist for the very first time.
Belonging to the Table: This milestone helps children understand that they are an active, loved, and essential part of the Body of Christ and our parish family.
Confirmation
Owning Your Faith Journey: Confirmation is all about making the personal choice to claim your baptismal promises for yourself, growing deeper in your relationship with God, and embracing your faith as a young adult.
Dedicated Space for Discernment: We believe teens deserve a supportive, specialized environment to explore real-world questions, discern their path, and discover how faith meaningfully fits into their lives.
