God’s Grace. God’s Mercy. God’s Invitation.

At Corpus Christi, we believe the sacraments are not simply religious traditions or moments we check off throughout life. They are real encounters with Jesus Christ, moments where God reaches out to us with His love, mercy, healing, and grace.

The Church teaches that the sacraments are “channels of God’s grace” that help transform our lives and draw us closer to Christ. Through them, we experience God’s presence in the most important moments of our lives: birth, growth, forgiveness, vocation, suffering, and community.

At Corpus Christi Church, our mission is Loving God - Loving Others - Making Disciples - Welcoming all into the Body of Christ.

The sacraments are at the center of that mission because they invite every person into a deeper relationship with Jesus and His Church. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning after many years away, or looking to grow closer to God, the sacraments are gifts meant for you.

The Sacraments

Beginning Life with Christ: The Sacraments of Initiation welcome us into the life of the Church and help us grow as disciples of Jesus.

Baptism

Baptism is the beginning of the Christian life and the doorway to the other sacraments. Through water and the Holy Spirit, we become children of God and members of the Body of Christ. Whether for infants, children, or adults, in Baptism, God plants the seed of faith within us and calls us into a life of hope, purpose, and belonging.

Eucharist

As the Church teaches, the Eucharist is the “source and summit” of our faith. The Eucharist is the heart of Catholic life because it is truly Jesus Christ, His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, given for us in love. The Eucharist nourishes us, strengthens us, and reminds us that we never walk alone. Every Mass is an invitation to come to the table of God’s mercy and receive the love that transforms us from the inside out. The Eucharist sends us into the world to love others as Christ loves us.

Confirmation

God does not call us to follow Him alone, He empowers us to share His love with the world. In Confirmation, we receive a deeper outpouring of the Holy Spirit and are strengthened to live as missionary disciples. God gives us the gifts we need to witness His love in our homes, schools, workplaces, and community. Confirmation reminds us that every baptized person has a mission.

Sacraments of Healing

God Never Stops Calling Us Back: God’s mercy is greater than our failures, fears, and struggles. The Sacraments of Healing remind us that Jesus comes to restore, strengthen, and heal us.

Reconciliation

Sometimes we take wrong turns in life and need a fresh start. In Reconciliation, we encounter the mercy of Jesus, who never stops loving us or calling us back to Him. Through Confession, Christ lifts the burden of sin, restores peace to our hearts, and renews our relationship with Him and the Church. No matter how long you have been away, God is always ready to welcome you home.

Anointing of the Sick

Formerly known as Last Rites. In moments of illness, suffering, aging, or serious challenge, Christ draws close to us through the Anointing of the Sick. This sacrament offers spiritual strength, peace, courage, and healing. It is a reminder that God never abandons us and walks with us through every season of life. If you, or a loved one, is sick, confined to the home, or in the hospital, please contact us.

Called to Love and Serve Others: Some sacraments are given not only for the good of the individual, but for the mission of serving others and building up the Church.

Matrimony

Marriage is a sacred covenant where a man and woman are united in faithful, life-giving love. Christian marriage reflects the love God has for His people, faithful, forgiving, joyful, and sacrificial. Through the sacrament of Matrimony, couples receive God’s grace to build a family rooted in faith and love.

Holy Orders

Through Holy Orders, men are called by God to serve the Church as deacons, priests, and bishops. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, they dedicate their lives to preaching the Gospel, celebrating the sacraments, and shepherding God’s people. Holy Orders is a reminder that God continues to call ordinary people to extraordinary mission and service.

Become Catholic, OCIA at Corpus Christi

A Journey of Faith, Belonging, and Encounter with Jesus

Have you ever felt God stirring something in your heart? Are you curious about the Catholic faith? Have you been attending Mass and wondering what it means to become Catholic? Were you baptized Catholic but never received Confirmation or Eucharist?

Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.

At Corpus Christi, the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is more than a class, it is a journey of discovering the love of Jesus Christ and finding your place in His Church. The OCIA process invites people into a deeper relationship with God through prayer, conversation, learning, community, and worship. The Church describes OCIA as a gradual process of spiritual formation and conversion rooted in the life of the parish community.

At Corpus Christi Church, our mission is Loving God - Loving Others - Making Disciples - Welcoming all into the Body of Christ. That mission comes alive in OCIA as we walk together in faith, ask honest questions, and encounter the mercy and grace of God.
