Every year, Corpus Christi parishioners collect, package, and deliver Thanksgiving baskets for families in need of food for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.
And, thanks to such an overwhelming number of donations from our parish community, the parish team has been able to provide enough food to each family for several more meals!
The more food donated, the more baskets for each family. That's the good thing!
Starting in early November, parishioners are asked to donate both non-perishable (such as canned vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, coffee, sugar, flour, baby food, stuffing mix, tea, and napkins) and perishable items (such as turkeys, hams, butter, apples, oranges, celery, and pies.
Items are then sorted and packaged for delivery prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Please contact Lina Marra-Thompson (366-6955 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
) with any questions or if you would like to help the team with sorting and packing the baskets for the families.
The recipients are so grateful and overwhelmed with our parish's gift giving generosity. Thank you.
